I was surprised that there was no comment made on the excesses of several of the components shown in the various dietary analyses/examples used in this presentation. Specifically, I worry about selenium excesses. Could the author comment on excesses in the diet and if we can avoid excesses while still utilizing commercially available feeds?

This presentation was very good demonstrating the variable needs of different horses depending on their activity and intensity of work. The different methods of calculations can be helpful in demonstrating to clients the need for balanced feed intake and the importance of making sure that minimal nutrition needs are met.
