The AAEP is aware of concerns raised during this table topic that a question asked by an attendee about sexual harassment by clients may have not been satisfactorily addressed. We have attached the recommendations of the AAEP on this issue as printed in an issue of Equine Veterinary Education in 2018.

This session was disappointing, the only once of 26 hours of recorded session I have listened to so far that I feel was actually a waste of my time. The speakers selected either send their problems to a licensed social worker to sort out or suggest that sexual harassment be handled by the man in the practice. Not helpful for the solo woman practitioner. I listened to the session after it was recorded, otherwise I would have had plenty of questions and comments if I had been there live. I can't wait until we can meet in person again and have more meaningful face to face conversations regarding difficult communications.
